Marvin Pentz Gay, Jr. (born April 2, 1939 in Washington, D.C.; died April 1, 1984 in Los Angeles, California), was a Grammy award winning R&B, soul and doo-wop singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist known as The Prince of Soul. Originally a member of the doo-wop group The Moonglows, he pursued a solo career after the group disbanded and released many successful solo hits including How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You), Sexual Healing, I Heard It Through the Grapevine and Let’s Get It On.

They debuted with “in stereo” in 2001 performing at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2 days after the release. Since then, they have been causing a major stir within the Japanese Indies scene. Their second mini album “ammonite” (2003) debuted at #3 in the national indies chart and remained in top 30 for 6 month.
