Thieves Like Us – Shyness
Thieves Like Us is a five-piece band based in Berlin, Germany and Paris, France. With a true charm, they developed a fresh, romantic aesthetic between a pop, funky, naïve universe à la Hot Chip and the German krautrock scene. As all parties seemed to be mainly soundtracked by electro and techno, they began to DJ, playing old Krautrock, italo disco, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Factory Records stuff, and even new hip-hop. Later on they discovered French filter house and added this to their repertoire. Their first album titled “Play Music” was recorded in Berlin, London, New York City and Stockholm and released in 2008.

A$aP Rocky – Wassup
Clams Casino – I’m God (Instrumental)
Clams Casino is the memorable pseudonym of New Jersey resident Mike Volpe, who in the last few months has shot from relative obscurity to production sensation thanks to a handful of blistering tracks. Edging into the limelight after passing tunes to Soulja Boy and Bay Area superstar Lil B, his originality has resonated with more than just rap fans. You see, Clams hasn’t confined his songwriting to rap music alone, and listening to his productions you can hear a keen sense of harmony, a pop sensibility and a willingness to let sounds dissolve into an uncharacteristic dream-like haze.
Rakim Mayers (born October 3, 1987 in Harlem, New York NY, United States), better known by his stage name ASAP Rocky (often stylized A$AP Rocky), is an American rapper and director. The rhythm section of drummer Lowell Dunbar (nicknamed Sly after Sly Stone, one of his favorite musicians) and bass guitarist Robert Shakespeare started working together in the mid 1970s, after having established themselves separately on the Jamaican music scene.
One of the most respected electronic composers of the ’90s, Howie B is a sonic polymath whose production work with U2, Bjork, Tricky, Brian Eno, Sinead O’Connor, Sly And Robbie and Everything But The Girl has made him an ace hired gun often called upon to give pop stars credit in the dance world.

Oliver Schories – Archipel
It must have been sometime between the years 1996 and 1997 when Oliver found out that there was more to discover than Green Day, The Offspring and Nirvana. Starting off with his first own cheapish Turntables and some commercial house tunes, he rapidly worked himself trough a lot of different electronic music styles. Having huge enthusiasm for vocal house in the first place, he more and more came over to techno and in those times the so called “Schranz”-sound which was mainly influenced by Artists like Chris Liebing, Cari Lekebusch and Adam Beyer.

Maceo Plex – Sleazy E

Located deep within the circuitry of a mechanical alien host known as Maetrik you will find a complex web of synaptic dispersements resembling what could be called a soul. And this soul which drives it’s host and manipulates it’s every move is finally beginning to emerge. Its name is Maceo Plex. The emergence of such an entity has been the result of a need for feeling, a need for interplanetary funk. We as humans consider this need a feeling, a feeling rooted in emotion, and emotion being the very basis of humanity.

Modestep – Sunlight
Modestep is a 4-piece live band from North London. Their sound clearly takes influence from progressive electro and dubstep as one of their fans stated they like to make music which “makes your brains wobble with low pass filth”, in reality not all Modestep’s tunes aim to be as filthy as possible which is much the trend of the times, in what can possibly be seen as a post-dubstep progression; where bass-heavy music is never avoided however incorporated eclecticly with electronica.

E-Z Rollers – Ready for love

EZ Rollers are Alex Banks and Jay Hurren – two longtime friends from the small East Anglian town of Beccles. This may seem unusual to those outside of drum & bass circles, but Beccles is actually a hotbed of drum & bass talent. Besides EZ Rollers, acts associated with the town include PFM, Flytronix, JMJ & Richie and Hyper-on Experience. JMJ is actually Jay from EZ Rollers and Hyper-on is Alex’s former project with Danny Flytronix.

Baths – Aminals

For mercurial Los Angeles music-maker Will Wiesenfeld, Baths has been a long time coming. The 21-year-old has spent the better part of his days living amidst “pleasant” and “unremarkable” in the suburbs of the San Fernando Valley, so perhaps it’s due to a general lack of local inspiration that Wiesenfeld’s own work has never fit into a prefab box of its own.
